Standard, Enhanced, Super Job Tax Credits
In order to qualify for the job tax credit, the qualified business enterprise must make the required capital investment and create the minimum number of qualified jobs within the investment period. All requirements for the standard credit must be met before claiming any of the credits.

Special Designations

Requirements
- Minimum increases range from 2-25 jobs based on tier/designation.
- Full-time employees only (37.5 hours per week for 12 consecutive months)
- Job cannot have existed in TN in the past 90 days
- New jobs must account for any reduction in full-time job positions in Tennessee (statewide)
- Minimum heathcare must be provided
- Investments must be related to new jobs
Carryforward
- Unused credit can be carried forward for 15 years
Eligible Industry
- Headquarters — Administrative, research and development, planning, marketing, personnel, legal not manufacturing, distribution, wholesaling or call centers
- Manufacturing — Principle business is fabricating or processing of tangible property for resale
- Data Centers — Building or buildings, either newly constructed or remodeled, housing high-tech computer systems and related equipment
- Warehousing and Distribution — Storage or distribution of finished tangible personal property. Does not include a location where tangible personal property is processed, manufactured, sold to customers or assembled
- Call Centers — Uses telecommunications in customer service, soliciting sales, reactivating accounts, surveys or research, fundraising, collecting receivables, reservations, taking or receiving orders.
